RMMS Ltd is looking to hire a Graduate Mechanical Engineer on a 2-year contract. Based in Ballina, Co. Mayo this quality-driven service solutions provider is happy to invest in the Mechanical Engineers of the future.

Reporting to and learning directly from the Managing Director, the successful individual will liaise with our clients and gain an invaluable insight into the various aspects of Mechanical Engineering in the real world. This role is based in the Mayo region.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Development & modification of mechanical services design to coordinate with building structure and rationalise pipe, duct and containment routes.
•Ensure design complies with project specifications.
•Ensure any design problems are identified at an early stage and work with client / main contractor to resolve.
•Ensure materials are approved and in compliance with client’s specification.
•Complete all checklists and documentation
•Ensure documentation is completed in compliance with project requirements.
•Work closely with the project manager to ensure procurement cost targets are achieved.
•Drive onsite operatives and subcontractors to achieve the construction programme.
•Ensure installations are in full compliance with the client quality objectives.
•Ensuring ASME BPE standards are adhered to at all times
•Knowledge of ASTM A380-06 / ASTM A967-05 Passivation Standards
•Working to ISO 9001 and 14001 as well as OHSAS18001 accreditation standards.
Person Specification:
The successful graduate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a keen willingness to learn. A third level engineering qualification with a knowledge of ASME BPE, GTAW Orbital Welding, Inspection & Passivation Procedures. Must be able to use MS Suite including MS Project. AutoCAD experience an advantage. This is such an excellent opportunity for any graduate you must be a self-starter who can take direction and work to the highest quality and safety standards whilst maintaining a client focused commercial outlook. Time and energy will be invested in the right person and the salary will be commensurate with a graduate post. Depending on the successful completion of the 2-year contract a distinct possibility for progression within the company exists.
