Raymond Masterson Mechanical Services Ltd were contracted to carry out the offloading and installation of a Sterilizer by one of our clients.
The project involved the offloading of the 22.5 Tonne ( 14m x 3m ) Sterilizer from a low loader and moving it through the production floor of the plant during a Bank Holiday 24 Hr Shutdown period using shifting skates and tifur winches.
The unit then had to be raised 1.3m off the floor using jack/pack method and lowered onto pre-fabricated frames supplied by the machine vendor.
Prior to the installation, Raymond Masterson Mechanical Services Ltd carried out a thorough safety analysis of the project which included method statements & risk assessments. All Covid-19 protocols were in place and HSE guidelines adhered to during the installation.
